The conversion to Quake worked out surprisingly well. What threw me off guard, though, was including an additional key that wasn’t in the original. Because of that I wasted my ring of shadows. D’:

I was also wondering if the demons could’ve been replaced with fiends, instead of the knights used here.

Fiends are much unpleasanter than demons ever were.

It’s a faithful recreation of Doom II’s Map04. Is it competently created? Yes. Is it fun to play? Eh, sorta, I guess. Doom maps don’t really translate very well into Quake gameplay / enemies.
It’s good for a one time, nostalgia trip.
