Modification “Play_Q revision 13” of 12.03.25 (based on the mod “TribalFX ver.01U”) -the mod works stably on the “QSS 0.94.0” engine and higher
WARNING: In newer versions of the engine (QSS 0.96.0) there are problems with shadows, part of the map and all the text on the screen disappear, so you need to disable them in the console or config (r_shadows 0).
Modification “Play_Q VK rev.13” of 12.03.25 (based on the mod “TribalFX ver.01U”) - the mod works stably on the “vkQuake” engine
This mod expands the visual capabilities of the vanilla game on maps that do not use the modified “progs.dat” file (blood skins and the particles as in “Alkaline”, “AD”, “DP”, “Q1.5”, “Q2021” on the “QSS” engine). The mod has been constantly changing since August 2021, after the release of “Q2021”.
The “vkQuake” modification has simpler models in terms of the number of vertices, so as not to conflict with the game engine, compared to the modification for the “QSS” engine.
I was surprised to learn that now all models work on the “vkQuake” engine in the same way as on the “QSS” engine. You can use any version of the mod at your discretion on any of these engines.
