Enjoyed playing through this one. Took me a few days. Last map was most tough. Loved the underwater acid area.

Simple hub map with portals for all difficulties and maps.

A base, followed by an acid dip in an Egyptian themed area and back to the base. It's not bad, actually feels bigger than it actually is.

Single room map, but an entertaining room, with lots to do. Fighting, jumping on small platforms, climbing, even a Chthon fight.

Equipped with only a Shotgun and a Grenade Launcher, you are dropped through floors and fight waves of enemies. It's fun for what it is. Pretty short though.

A series of big, blue, ugly rooms, packed with enemies. Not really to my taste.

A small tech base. Looks pretty good, considering the competition restrictions. Feels like an actual map, although super short and easy. I like it.

Another tech base, this time even more detailed. Which means, it's even smaller. But I enjoyed it.

Inside of a medieval, cathedral like, structure. Looks pretty good, plays well, but is super short. An annoyingly slow lift ride to the exit.

Pretty nice temple, with an outside area. Looks great, given the constraints. Plays well too.

A large base. Looks good, plays well. I had fun with this one.

A nice change of pace. A map spent outdoors, on a cliffside and a small, final structure. It's a nice theme but, ultimately, really short. As nature areas aren't really advantageous for the contest. Still enjoyable, wish it was a larger, longer map.

Nice moody start. The map itself looks good. But gameplay is a bit unimaginative. Throws loads of monsters at you and sends you on your way.

Great map. Doesn't feel constrained by the competition restrictions at all. Plays great, is entertaining. Might be just a tad too dark.

A temple with a couple of lateral outdoor areas. It doesn't look bad, although I'm not fond of the textures. It plays ok, nothing too novel.

A fairy tale looking map, with a twisted Alice in wonderland type of aesthetic. Looks great, plays well. I was completely unaware of Quake's teleport viewport bug until now. And it is put to very good use in this map. It's short and the secret was puzzling, but probably my favorite of the bunch.

Overall, due to the restrictions, obviously most of the maps look very simple. Some make no compromises and just act like regular, much shorter maps. Others stretch every brush to the maximum and go for length with crude looks. Few ride the line between both types. I think there's something for everyone here.
