Very fun map! Loved the layout and aesthetics, but the pacing and encounter design is what really stood out for me. Definitely has teeth on Nightmare, but not overly unfair or brutal either.

I really enjoyed this. Although it’s a Copper map, it has a definite Arcane Dimensions vibe to it, which to me is always a plus. It also does a great job of marrying the medieval dungeon style to the base style, so it feels like a unity embracing both environments rather than a mere juxtaposition. Finally, it gets a lot of gameplay out of a not-that-big gameplay area by clever re-use of areas.

My only minor quibble is that I didn’t enjoy the final combat, with the wind pinning me at one end of the room. To me, part of the joy of Quake is a freedom of movement, and losing that at the key moment was not fun.

But that still leaves it as a five-star map for me!
