Fun short example of the runic-metal-puzzlebox map. Slap on software emulation mode and soak it in.

This is a small map (took me 4.5 min to complete) that’s competently designed, especially for it’s day. The monster placement is thought out and it’s fairly balanced when playing on Hard.
The use of the hub make it easy to traverse and there’s enough detailing to keep it interesting enough to play.
Given how short the map I won’t hesitate to recommend it to any and all players, especially ones with interest in retro maps.

Agree with the last comments. Very nice map, solid, no problems. The hammer traps were a particularly nice touch (not for me LOL). I got my brains smashed more than once. And just as I thought I was done there was one more challenge! A little light on the health packs. With the corridors and scaffolding you were sometimes in position to do nothing else except take your lumps while returning firing lest you fall into the hot lava. On the flip side there was a good amount of nail and shotgun ammo. I found myself running around with a health of 5 looking for a health pack only to find a troll or worse a vore around the corner HAHA! This map would fit in nicely with as a level in a full blown episode. Good job Marty!
