I liked that the author tries to show the player the mechanics of the map:
A yellow tile on the floor? Something will happen as soon you step on it.
A locked gate with a weapon inside? A secret
A demon face on the wall? A secret
Although I don’t like hand held games, I really enjoyed the fact that he describes which is the hard path and the ‘normal’ one. Giving the player a choice to make.
Perfect map in my opinion. Got everything: traps, vertical exploration and make me feel like a real explorer for secrets.
Different, impressive, well-designed and very challenging map. Highly enjoyable. The brick wind-tunnel theme is a very nice idea.
