Beep’s map. *SPOILERS

A gauntlet kind of map. I really liked the secrets that develops. I don’t know if the secret finale is reachable without rocket jumping. I think for difficult sake the downer level shouldn’t be acessible when you go up. The elevator could be stuck (that way the secret won’t fall down the elevator) and the gaps could be acid pools or something. I thought it would be more difficult, but the four pillars makes things easy for a veteran player. Don’t know if it was intentional but as soon as I got a hold on the rocker launcher I thought the map was done, but close quarter combats avoided that, nice touch.

The finale was amusing although I hate the wizards that spawns those hell flying heads. The tree spawning was funny. Merry xmas nearly a month late.

5/5.

Chedap’s map. *SPOILERS

The atmosphere set in the beggining is phenomenal. The skybox and at first glance I thought it was a boat, but them it felt like the beginning of bioshock.

I’m not very fond of teleporting enemies, but it felt ok. The space to work with was very narrow, so it makes senses to repopulate it. The underground was very atmospheric, especially the part with spawns being alerted.

I liked the idea of see through portals and it doing nothing, just an asthetic touch that really felt like the author was trying to tell a story through gameplay.

The secrets were well placed, although I got the plasma gun with a grenade jump. The one behind a breakable wall was a little tricky, but pure chance I got it.

The final quad run was good. The author gave the opportunity to the player to know the terrain before the quad run, so it was just a slaughter run.

5/5.
