Densely detailed with innovative texture combinations. Loved the layout and the lightning, but I found the custom texture art detracted from the overall sense of immersion. Short and sweet, with a slightly anti-climatic ending that left me wanting more. Great work!
This an outstanding debut, a fine portfolio piece that shows off a lot of different skills.
The standout aspect is the architecture, which makes the map feel like it really wants to run under Arcane Dimensions. It has that great feeling of a run-down abandoned place that AD does so well, but left me feeling disappointed that I couldn’t break some of the planks and other debris, and that there weren’t more secrets to be found — behind breakables, or by clever jumping, especially once up in the balcony.
I will very much look forward to seeing what Vanisch does next.
