Being a fan of the Industrial Base theme, I enjoyed this a lot, right up to the point where I went though the silver key door. Then it was a closed-in combat, immediately followed by another closed-in combat — both of them difficult — and then, having survived those, a cakewalk to the exit. There’s lots to admire here: plenty of craftsmanship. But the pacing is way off.
BTW., I didn’t find a way to get either of the in-plain-sight secrets, the yellow armour and the grenade launcher. I’d appreciate hints if anyone has figured this out.
Secret hints for @MikeTaylor
The grenade launcher:
When you stand next to the train there’s something high above that you can shoot.
The yellow armour:
The wall panel above the box on the opposite wall can be removed by shooting something in the room on the other side of the panel.
Detailed steps if you still can’t access the secrets:
Grenade launcher: There are five blue symbols high up on the pillars behind the train. Shoot the second one from the left. That’ll pop up an extra step on the buffer block at the rear of the train that you can jump from.
Armour: In the room behind the silver key door, shoot a round, dim light near the ceiling on the left side of the pillar to the left of the door. You may have to kill all enemies in the room for the light to appear.
Thank you, @ncMaothVez! I don’t feel stupid, now, for missing those rather obscure secrets. The yellow armour one in particular is a bit ridiculous. Even when I knew exactly what I was looking for it took me ages to find the trigger. (It’s to the right, BTW, not the left!)
I did find the One Chance secret, which I thought was legitimately clever rather than merely obscure.
