If it were from 1996 it would be decent at most. It behaves badly both for single and multi player modes. The worst part of it is that all in the map is as bad as the brushwork.

It actually is from 1996. The level is by Jason Booth and is taken from the level set Bridges to the Highlands, bridges.zip. I have no idea why it would be released as a separate level with no text file 12 years later.

What's the gold key for? I didn't find a gold door.

Nice lesson in ramp angles in the Quake1 engine. 45deg slope you can run up and jump off of.
Greater than 45deg you can't jump off of, and you can barely climb.
