Gave up before I could find the exit. Badly communicated puzzles. Annoying layout. Bleargh…

I tend to agree with the previous reviews. The things that bothered me the most were the final fight involving the Shambler and Vore. Looks like you need luck trying to manage through that fight. I also didn’t like trying to find the final exit after pushing the button. I also didn’t like that you potentially end up in an unwinnable situation if you were to run out of ammo at a point where you need to shoot a button to progress.
I think there was a moment I did kind of like, when I tried to get ogres and death knights behind bars to fight each other. All in all, I think this map had some interesting ideas that in practice just don’t work that well in Quake or that the execution fell flat. Oh well, I guess I’d rate this map barely 2/5.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention that the bsp conflicts with an existing bsp in the database. Maybe repackage this mayhem.bsp as mayhem2.bsp?

It’s just one of those maps. Absolutely terrible.

Interesting map. Not sure how you're supposed to know to shoot ceiling lights or blue sections of the wall in the beginning big rooms though! But after that the back and forth along the same room is kind of fun. After you raise the bridge I noticed a button that you can press before you exit. You don't need to press it to exit. I wonder what it does.
