It’s from the same author as “Ontranto” (2004), and actually I believe these two maps are an early version of it, cut down to just two maps: You start out in a dark swamp before you enter an ancient town with lots of possibilities to get lost. It’s some great quality, even if the enhanced version released two years later offers more maps and even better atmosphere.

Fat Controller did a great job creating atmosphere in these maps. Really creative stuff here for the time. Definitely above average, with Towne being the “meat” of the pack, with it’s consistency, pacing, and gameplay.
I know some folks will say that it’s too cramped in spots, but that’s what creates the tension when battling lower level baddies …improperly released grenades will splash damage the crap out of you, it’s more difficult to avoid melee attacks, etc. Good stuff!
