Even though the levels and weapons selection are somewhat unpolished in places, I gotta say the idea of a mission pack that fits right in the vanilla lore (it picks up where Dissolution Of Eternity left) is really cool and I cannot think of a better mod to be featured in Quake’s 2021 re-release or better yet, remixed by other level designers.
Temple of Moon is a good level.

Well, many of the textures are nice. And some of the enemy models (but not the animations or skins, definitely not the skins) have potential for interesting enemies. In general though it occupies a slot between “shovelware” and “official mission pack”. Its not exactly a cheap cashgrab, and for 98 standards its fair. But those are very old standards, and even more modest mapsets nowadays can achieve better results without the need for gimmicky weapons and shoddy custom monsters.
As some final notes, 1: The “dark knight” enemies look like shit and are unfair to fight, and 2: The unserious tone is very bizarre for Quake. Like, the boss at the end just looks like a lady. Like she could have come out of Malice. That’s it.
