You can tell many of the mappers really thought about what makes Honey a good map. Skacky’s is relentless, I particularly liked that one.

I think sock’s map is the only one that really comes together gameplay-wise here. Definitely not his best, but a good one to remember when I’m in the sock mood.
skacky and Scampie’s maps look good, but are mostly just frustrating.

Thought I’d played this, turns out I hadn’t. Playing it ~10 years after release means that a bunch of maps really don’t hold up well at all, but there are a handful that are still fun even now. No prizes for guessing which (Sock, Scampie, Skacky, Ionous/MFX, with an honourable mention for ericw’s murky plank ascent), but special shout out to Skacky’s map for having the best fight of the entire jam and maintaining a nice level of spikiness throughout. Hard to recommend playing the whole pack these days, but those few maps will almost definitely make for an enjoyable evening of 2010s Quake action, even now… if that’s what you’re looking for.
