Still a fun map in 2022. I had a bit of a time figuring the ending out, but finally did.

This is darn good. I’d have to politely disagree with Spirit, in that I think the “leading” through the paths here is done well and there’s some good variety among the various spots, especially in the way you go through both indoors and outdoors areas. Overall I think the progression through the map and also the fundamental construction of the spaces is quite nice, better than the majority of base maps. Really enjoyable to work through.

It’s let down by the combat, just a bit. There’s the typical problem with “purist” basemaps that don’t use the full menagerie – which, granted, is helped some by using the centroids and the enforcer variants (altho I didn’t quite figure out the yellow variants). Probably more of a disappointment for me is the lack of any weapons above the SSG, and not even that many nails for the NG. I guess (from the name) maybe this was intended to lead into other maps, so the weaponset was held back?

Anyway – fantastic stuff overall.
