A great set of maps with a couple standouts that are REALLY good. A few were great but ended too quickly and left me with an “aw man is that it?” feeling.

I’m not a fan of some of the gimmicky maps, although I guess those serve a purpose. A little bit too much crate pushing at times, and I did not dig the stealth mission at all.

Bal’s Entering the city of Pale really stands out. I can’t wait to see what the area under construction will become, and I really hope The City of Pale is in the works — hell, I’d buy a whole episode on that theme. I killed everyone but I still have four secrets to find, and exploring the map is a great experience.

Bal did a really great job taking advantage of the space. The same 1024^3 constraint was enforced in the next edition of this jam but most maps in that other pack felt really cramped, whereas this map feels huge even though it isn’t.

The more maps revolving around its mechanics, the more I like Arcane Dimensions. Diverse as it is, there are some excellent maps contained in this pack. Don’t miss it.
