IIRC, there were plans to include a fitting soundtrack with this map pack, but the idea was dropped because of copyright reasons or something. Would you guys at least consider sharing the planned track list?
Buried by Time and Dust (jam8_ionous) just felt like a slog: all those zombies, and no explosives. Or, at least, there was a pack of rockets to pick up, but since I never found a weapon to launch them with, I assume there was a GL or RL in the sole secret, which I missed. No fun at all, at least, not for me.
One Ranger Two Boomsticks - 1Pritchard (jam8_pritchard) is much better, with a satisfying progression through sequence of run-down offices, bars and warehouses. Although i can’t help but think how much more fun it would have been with the regular textures instead of these noir ones.

Black Future (jam8_newhouse) is much better again, a tense journey through a deserted and corpse-strewn complex of houses, tunnels, and mysterious basis. There are two or three genuinely novel combat set-pieces – who though we’d be saying that about Quake maps in 2018? – and the conclusion is pretty satisfying. Lots of fun gibbing to be done. But again, the noir textures really add nothing for me.

On zombie map you have a special axe to kill zombies, but I did not try to kill them all, it is too hard on skill 3. May be secret will be opened after killing some count of zombies… I dont know, I passed level without kills.

I don’t know about other maps, but at least for mine if you rename/delete/etc. the jam8/gfx/palette.lmp file, you get full colour textures.

I LOVED this. The black and white is a bit weird, but you quickly get used to it. All the levels were challenging, but not unfairly so. I’d love to pick a favorite but they are all just cool…
Okay, I’ll admit, I did find that zombie map was a bit short. Still, very good overall.
