This map is just awesome! It transcends a traditional Quake map into its own thing with its own style and a narrative.
Memorable scenes include a fight with an armored personnel carrier and, as mentioned by previous commenters, a frantic time-limited scene, where you have to abort a missile launch. The map is just so enjoyable to explore that I don’t even care if the combat itself isn’t that special. I just wanted see the next scene the author had designed for me to enjoy.
And as I had stated in my review of the previous map by the same author, it’s really impressive that he had done it all with a text editor!
It’s a short and easy map, but it has some really nice details. The vehicle carrying multiple enemies is pretty funny. The whole countdown section is nice, but there is a bit too much waiting around.
The map screen, with the tracking of the missile is also a pretty nice detail.
