I love metal maps but this one wasn't for me. The style is great in general but felt a bit too samey and mirrored everywhere. Didn't get why Ogres gave no ammo while there really was no shortage in other ammo anyways. The final boss really wasn't a challenge (although maybe it would have been on Hard, I played Normal) ![]()
I really enjoyed this one. Although the area is large, and several different paths are offered, I always felt like I knew where I was, and the combats were varied and fun. A novel progression mechanism (the yin-yang) is pretty rare in 2025, so kudos on that. My only real quibble is that I couldn’t find any of the three secrets. (At least, I know how to get to the lightning gun, but I can’t find the pent that would make it possible.)
Perfect texturing despite tackling some complex geometry. Great enemy encounters and tempo all the way through. This was quite an easy map, even on skill 3. There’s a surplus of ammo throughout, even without finding the lightning gun. I found all of the secrets but couldn’t work out how to reach both the rocket launcher and lightning gun with just one pentagram. Perhaps I missed a piece of the puzzle.
Amazing work. Thanks for putting this out there!
