Pretty dark but a quality old map.

Nice for its age – lots of variation, and some fun combats.
Loses points for the numerous fulldark areas and the lack of coherence – there’s no sense that this could be an actual place.
I found the dragons at the end irritating, because they are so darned hard to hit. Maybe if they were in more maps, I’d develop a strategy.

Before I forget, the glasses after the entrance were put backwards. Don’t know if it was intetionally, but it spelled “RAW” not “WAR”.
Liked the map, it was dark so I figured there was going to be a secret hidden in plain sight. The first button was in a room kind of dull, few enemies, felt that it was just there to make the map a little longer, but enjoyed the first (I think it was the first) secret that led to a yellow armor.
I liked the concept of climbing with portals, felt satisfying because I didn’t kill any of the monsters from the bottom.
And to wrap this comment, I enjoyed the dragon boss. Never seen the little drakes, but I blasted them with the rocket launcher, by aiming in the other enemies, before I could learn anything from them. The last green dragon was cool. Low damage but very swift and he dodges any slow projectile. Since the shotgun is hit scan, no problem in taking him down. If this was a map with the AD conversion, since the shotgun fired pellets, I think it would be impossible.
Rated this a 4, not perfect, but when I ended it, felt the urge for more.

Average castle map, with a decent amount of backtracking, large rooms with verticality and a couple of custom textures and enemies.
The initial castle room is very hectic with grenades being lobbed left and right. Not really to my liking. There are also some pitch black areas, such as most of the underwater sections.
Still something to try out.
