This is beautiful.
And it brings Quakespasm to the edge of the envelope.
I really like the references to RtCW - the only game i have released maps for - so it brings a old love back up again… Impressive to see that it is possible to backport some newer features to Quake.
Well done. My respect.

Great stuff. At first I thought that it’s too big, but then I got pulled in. Got some flashbacks about Shadowfang Keep and Karazhan from WOW. And then Brill/Tirisfal Glades as well in the extra map that has the 4th Chalice.

Great map with its own story paying homage to Dark Souls, Bloodbourne and… Marvel))
Beautiful three maps (start + two main levels). Great action, three unique bosses (you’ll remember the three frahchises I mentioned before), nicely-done new weapons… Beside combat, Raven Keep challenges you to find three chalices (two are in secrets) in order to access its second level with the final, fourth chalice and endboss.
Highly recommend this mod. 2 hours of fun!

Great map, but sometimes hard.
It was a pleasure to visit all places and search for secrets.

I would love to play entire episode like that, with good story and vibe.
Feels almost like Ultima/Dark Messiach of M&M.

Oh, forgot secret map

Yup, that’s definitely looks more like DS or Bloodb as Escalate_krsk wrote.

Still, good job!

Not terribly professional, but everyone has to start somewhere, and this is a charming work showing a lot of inspiration. Some WTF moments that barely detract from the positive:

  1. What the HELL is wrong with those light rays? Shouldn’t they be translucent?

  2. This is a release with a storyline, cutscenes, and new music, yet it stuffs a standard Quake ambient track into the map you’re gonna spend the most time in.

  3. The more homages you see, the less original this feels.

This is a beautiful map set. I haven’t seen such an atomospheric, well designed map like this in a while. I love the medieval theme. This is a true testament to the talent of the Quake community.

I think calling this a three-map campaign is a real stretch. It’s one big map, really — with a zero-kills start map, and a sort of bonus map that is less than a quarter of the size of the main map.

BUT that’s a failure of marketing rather than of design. That one big map is really satisfying, with lots of explore and discover, and as others have pointed out several unique combats. It feels less populated by than other big keeps such as The Marcher Fortress, but that gives it its own unique atmosphere. I liked this a lot.

The code map by contrast is really just about a sequence of staged comments, and has almost no geography or exploration. It was fun, but not especially memorable. Part of me thinks the whole thing would have been more satisfying if only the big central map had been released.

Really good level (plus the secret one and bosses) but please… I watched the ravenkeep trailer on youtube and the spoilers i saw quite ruined the level for me… i don’t know why the dev did that… I hope he won’t do it again.
