Quite nice for back then. The maps show how the author develops over time; there is a very clear progression here.
The description and screenshot do a huge disservice to this listing. Picking possibly the ugliest angle of the whole episode and failing to even list it is an episode in the description, as well as how many maps it is.

You are welcome to supply a better screenshot.

These maps are well worth the play, 20+ years old,but still beats most maps released today 5 star

Tech base with some outdoor sections. There are a couple of Armagon enemies and the Laser Cannon makes an appearance.
Gameplay isn't very engaging and it looks pretty bland.

Average map, simple and linear. Very tight or cluttered rooms, prevent you from moving freely.

I don't think I will ever enjoy playing a map with Armagons' Scorpions. There's plenty of them here.
It's a pretty large map, with 129 enemies, gameplay is ok. The room with the pyramid-like temple looks nice.
Lots of secrets to find.

Another large map, with lots of enemies. This time, it's much more spacious. But there's still plenty of places to get stuck on, making your movement more difficult than it should. Visually, it remains a tad below average.
The two buttons in the fountains, in the initial area, are somewhat odd, but attainable.
It does have a decent enough flow, so, an improvement.

There are still a few spots where you don't have much room to maneuver. But it's getting better with each map.
The big stairwell, with multiple floors, is a bit repetitive, but the map is interesting.
Makes good use of Armagon entities, rotating brushes, weapons, a low gravity area, laser wall.
There is also a stylish light effect, made with the use of laser shooters. Good stuff.

A nice stroll to some catacombs, that lie under a fortress. Gameplay is nice and varied, map has a nice flow.
If you get the secrets, there's plenty of variety and details, swimming, lava, blowing up boulders, going inside of crypts.
Some spots are still too tight to navigate, particularly a tunnel in the catacombs.
Still, entertaining map, clearly the best one in the episode.

Overall, an episode with 6 maps, each with considerable size. Filled with somewhere between 90 to 130 enemies. Plenty of secrets, most are pretty logical and able to be found.
As mentioned, there is a clear improvement in map quality, the further you go along. If they don't feel like your cup of tea, try the second half.
