A super short, 5 enemies map. It will take a few minutes though, if you want to read the tons of dialog included.

Single room start map, placed in a dock, with a big ship. Difficulty selection is made according to the way you board the vessel.

You get off the boat, go through a base camp and a small stone structure. There's two places where you, annoyingly, just wait for dialog, both at the beginning and near the end. They take around 30 seconds each. The last one can be ignored, if you know where to go. But if it's the first time you're playing, you'll need to wait for it.
The new Ogre behavior keeps things fresh. They can now aim down, when on higher ledges, and also shoot while running.
I had fun with it.

An average base map. There are some novel elements to it, like disabling and reversing fans in order to progress. The giant fan room, though, is super sketchy, even when playing with version 2. Sometimes you can make it just by walking and pushing against the trigger, sometimes you can't. The only consistent way I've found of clearing it, is jumping from the top of the stairs and hit the push and pull triggers until you are almost at the wall. After pushing the reverse button, it's smooth sailing.
The crate trap was neat.

Although some rooms are a bit subpar, it looks ok for the most part. Gameplay is good. You take a couple of laps around the map, but there's always things to do. You read hints from pages scattered around and ride a floating speed boat.
Probably the best map out of the pak.

Overall, there is interesting stuff in this. Not just regular Quake. From custom monsters, which include mini Shamblers, Nailgun and Rocket Grunts, Custom Ogres and Bipedal Mechs. You're not allowed to touch water, or you're insta-zapped by your bracelet, but you can disable it at the start of sop2.bsp. Rotating brushes and debris, plenty of stuff going on.
Have a playthrough.
