Erroneously glowing faces

I’ve been wrestling with a lighting bug for the past few hours: Occasionally, when I make changes to the geometry of my map (and compile), a seemingly random assortment of faces end up glowing. There isn’t any _minlight, deleting the .lit file and recompiling does nothing, and the only thing that got rid of it was deleting the problem brushes, but then- of course- a new batch would appear the moment I added anything else(!)


Here, the glowing faces appear the side of the protrusion holding the flame.
