A very nice Base map from a Quake 2 mapper. This adheres to the Base theme pretty consistently. The gameplay is really set up nice here; however, it only has one skill level. The secret(s) do not show in the final tally, but I definitely found one. Highly recommended for Base appreciators!

A fun but VERY tough map, featuring numerous ambushes and stingy with medikits and ammo. I’m cautious by nature, but here I was often down to 20-25 health.

The layout is quite nice and intricate. No backtracking is required, and progression is generally intuitive. There are no official secrets but at least two unofficial ones.

This is a pleasant journey, though I think unremarkable. I can’t agree with JMP that it’s very tough: my usual slow-and-cautious approach made most of it eminently survivable, although it’s true that health is not especially generously provisioned.

I lament that secrets were not properly implemented.

I ran into what I think must be a bug. After exploring the first big area and dropping back down into the main entrance chamber, the way down to the lower part of the base was still locked. I had to noclip through before I could continue.

I somehow missed one of the 138 kills. Rats.
