Eh? Definitely better than average. Neither plain, nor weird. It has a nice theme and the reskinned monsters look pretty cool, too. Great for a 1997 release. IMO, anyway.

You are plainly weird!
Yeah, might be the age.

Excellent Map.
Quite good for its time, the layout is simple, but the brushwork apart from simple is very original. The gameplay is balanced and enjoyable, and the retextured monsters look quite good, i would like to see this skins actualized, i think they would fit quite well on Quoth theme. The final fight was nice, but need to be more intense.

A very simple, small start map. Contains difficulty selections for Hard and Nightmare only, one enemy and no secrets. However, selecting the Nightmare portal will set difficulty to Easy, instead.

Interesting look and feel for this map. Architecture is pretty unique up until this point. Gameplay is also pretty good.
Much better than what the start map made you think. Recommended.
Some issues:
When playing with Quakespasm, the button in the final arena will correctly spawn the four Gold keys. However, they will disappear, once the platforms they are set on reach the top. It’s still possible to grab one of them, but not all four. Since the bars that require the Gold keys are located against a sloped wall, with some finesse, it’s still possible to reach the other side and complete the map. When playing with joeQuake, however, the section works as intended.
It’s not possible to kill the two Chthon enemies in the final area and, once they despawn, they do not increase the kill counter. One Scrag will also remain outside the map boundaries, as the trigger that’s supposed to teleport it into the playable area is never activated. Cannot get 100% kills, maximum of 51/54.

Overall, a very nice map that you should give a try.
