Really amazingly, amazingly slow. I’ve never known a level remotely like it for looong, slooow elevator rides. Quake levels can fail in all sorts of ways, but this is a very rare example of one that’s just plain boring. Sheesh.

For some reason I can’t explain, I replayed this. I think it may be the only Quake level that I actively hate. I literally spent more time waiting for elevators than I did fighting monsters.

Boy, @MikeTaylor wasn't kidding, it really feels like "Waiting for elevators - The Map". It's the inside of a Star Trek inspired ship, mostly pretty empty and fullbright. Gameplay is pretty dull, due to all the waiting. You can avoid some of it, if you rush in certain spots, and squeeze in time for the lifts. But you'll still have to wait for others.
Not very fun.
