I’m french so I’m sorry for my english writing.
I have created a quake map and I want to share it here.
Tell me just how can I do that please ?
It’s my first map so don’t be too hard with me please :wink:

Hello.

  1. Things to check before release:
  • map is properly compiled (no errors, light -extra(4) done, fullvis (-level 4) done)
  • no ingame issues (type ‘developer 1’ in the console and load the map, address warnings if present)
  • map was playtested not just by yourself but also others
  1. Create a ZIP file
  • including all necessary files (most importantly .bsp and .lit if using colored lights), no log files or bloat like texture wads (unless you created them yourself) etc
  • including a readme text file (same name as the bsp) with all important information about you and the map
  • no directories in the zip
    • unless there are additional things like a skybox or music, then put them in corresponding subfolders
  1. Upload and publishing
  • upload the zip to a webspace, but not a filesharing site. If in doubt, use quaketastic.com (name: quaketastic, pw: ZigguratVertigoBlewTronynsSocksOff), go to single_player/maps and upload the file there
  • post the link in the Quaddicted forum or you could even create a news thread at Func_Msgboard → celephais.net/board
    • if posting in a forum, it’s nice to also post a link to a screenshot in JPG format
  • alternatively, send the zip file to spirit @ quaddicted.com (may take longer for it to appear here, though)

Hello,
Negke I just played to “mappi” and “mappi2”. These are truly incredible maps. I love and I play again.
Is it possible to have map files please ?

Hey, fellow frenchman here! I searched the maps database for your username but couldn’t find your map. Did you release it anywhere?
