Quake Injector version 9 release candidate 2

Hi everyone,

A new version of Quake Injector is ready for community testing!

This version contains a large amount of fixes and improvements. In the screenshots below you can see most of the UI improvements, we've also improved and fixed the installation process, prerequisites are now handled correctly, and so much more.

:red_exclamation_mark:Note that this is a release candidate build, not a final official release.

Added

  • Mod column showing which mod a package is built on
  • Recent menu with the last 10 installed or played packages
  • The package selected when closing is selected again at the next start
  • Settings: on Windows, choose the Quake engine from the engines found in the Quake directory; warns when no recommended engine is found and points to vkQuake
  • Official expansions (hipnotic, rogue, mg1, mg3) are detected in the Quake directory and named in full when a map needs them
  • Readme button to view text files

Changed

  • "Check for installed maps" reworked and fixed, no longer marked experimental
  • Redesigned detail panel
  • Install, Play and Uninstall buttons are colored, have icons and only show when they apply
  • Faster startup - show cached database first, load from web in the background
  • Settings dialog reorganized and improved user experience
  • "Install random map" picks only from the packages the filter shows

Removed

  • "Offline mode" menu entry (never worked)
  • Rogue and Hipnotic settings (now autodetected)

Fixed

  • Only include Quake singleplayer packages in the list
  • Progress and cancellation of installation process fixed
  • Main window is maximized again after a fullscreen game ends
  • An absolute Quake engine path in the settings works
  • Prerequisites like Quoth, Copper or Arcane Dimensions install the current version, also for maps that ask for an older one (e.g. Copper 1.19, AD 1.70 or its 1.71 patch), and a version that is already installed counts instead of being installed over
  • Future-proofing dependency handling by utilizing the new API dependency data
  • Start map detection improved

Security

  • Security fixes for installation process and description links
