I’ve been having a blast plaing through his maps over the last month. What a loss, but also what incredible work. Thanks, Tronyn.

I just saw the news on frag-net.com. Tronyn was a leader and mentor of epic map design, combining awesome architecture, engaging map progression, surprise, and delight. His maps and kind feedback in forums remain as an inspiration to mappers, modders, and engine developers.
This year has been really rough for his death is just one of many that I’ve learned about. There has also been one in my family. Though I’ve only played a few levels by him I understand his influence and importance to the Quake modding community. Does Tronyn have an image somewhere? I’m thinking of posting about him on my profile page on Reddit if that’s okay with the community. May he find peace and paradise in the afterlife.
