I'd like to play coop with someone using vkquake (and other non-quakeworld ports). However it's rare to find a pack that was intended for vanilla coop since jam projects almost never have this as a requirement for mappers.
By good coop support I mean:
- Coop spawns provided (no spawn-fragging)
- Softlocking not possible (e.g. bars that lock you inside arena fight are openable from outside)
- Map is balanced for coop (e.g. ammo on the map doesn't quickly get exhausted if you die a lot)
- I don't have to do long round trips to pick up weapons and keys every time I die
